I already have an Armenian passport and I’m interested in how exactly that helps with a visa. People say that with Armenian citizenship it’s somehow easier — I want to understand the mechanics. Do they react differently to the questions at a US consulate interview if you’re an Armenian citizen?
Hello. Having an Armenian passport doesn’t help at all. I went through the interview in Yerevan while holding Russian and Armenian citizenship, and they didn’t care about that. The only thing an Armenian passport might help with is moving the interview from Warsaw to Yerevan, but you should understand that for EB-1 the wait for an interview in Yerevan is at least a year, whereas in Warsaw it’s a couple of months.
