So… we’re ready to share our story
It feels so good that the moment has finally come when I can write this
EB1A approval (Premium) after an RFE
Nebraska, officer 0242. Filing from Miami on a B2 tourist visa.
Field: jewelry art and design. Husband is the talent, I’m the secret-bird and the main petitioner scribe. No attorneys; we consulted Muvert (Муверт), hung out in chats and on YouTube.
HOW IT ALL STARTED:
Immigrating had been a long-term goal for us… Initially we were considering Australia, spent a year preparing for the IELTS exam, gathering info, but at some point realized the visa is expensive (back then we didn’t yet know how much we’d spend on the U.S.
) and there were no guarantees..
The U.S. was also in the plan, but it felt unrealistic, expensive and far away. While researching routes we found the EB-1A option — it fit well, plus immediate Green Cards for both of us — awesome! The talent is there, we just needed to prove it and build up the evidence…
So, without rushing, from 2021 we started entering competitions, exhibitions, publishing articles and slowly gathering material..
Then February 2022 happened: we were on vacation in Egypt and suddenly realized there was no more time for procrastination, we needed to get active, stop lying down toward the goal and actually stand up and march toward it. We didn’t want to go back to Russia, but staying in Egypt wasn’t an option either.
And that same day (sometimes only hours pass between decision and action) we stumbled on an Instagram form: ASSESS YOUR CHANCES FOR A TALENT VISA — we completed the questionnaire, spoke with a specialist, the chances looked good and we bought the minimal support package, at the time for 39,000₽ — access to the Methodology guide, the chat and petition homework review. That was Muvert (Муверт)!
From that moment it took us another 1.5 years of entering contests, exhibitions, collecting evidence and choosing a strategy.
We decided not to drag out the immigration cat…, and took the risk to get tourist visas, fly to the States and change status there.
In summer 2022 we found a helping company — Stolitsa Mira (Столица Мира) by Anatoly Vlasov — to choose the consulate country and assist with getting the tourist visa. We obtained a Schengen visa, and in January 2023 flew to Vienna for the interview. After four refusals, the consul smiled at our plans to marry a second time in Las Vegas, asked in detail about my workplace and took our passports! That was the first Victory!
All through 2023 we continued gathering documents. We won an award at the significant international A’ Design Award, flew to the gala evening in Como (Italy), took part in the MOOD Outstanding Design exhibition — and that was the most significant investment in the weight of the petition
On December 5, 2023 we flew into humid-warm Florida — me, my husband and our cat)) We have experience relocating with pets 
Before boarding the Turkish Airlines flight to the U.S. we had a good scare — there was a mistake in my visa on the date of birth. The Turkish staff called the U.S. while we were there, talked with them for a long time, checked my details and decided whether to let me board… Ten minutes of conversation felt like an eternity
, but in the end they let us on.
