I’m interested in the EB-1 criteria that USCIS counts when evaluating “sustained recognition”. Media coverage, articles, and judging at hackathons have only appeared for me recently — I’m worried about denial due to the lack of a long track record. Things I’ve had for a while are a YouTube channel, a high salary at a top international company, and several years of experience. How long do I need to wait for the new activities to become “sustained”, or is what I already have sufficient?
Sustained recognition is evaluated not by the length of the track but by its level — YouTube and a high salary don’t fit the criteria at all. Judging roles and publications are only counted if they meet specific items from the list of ten, and in that case the recency of the role doesn’t matter.
