How it went
We received I-140 approval. There was no time or desire to wait for an interview appointment; people were outside Russia. We received I-129 approval, signed up for the nearest available interview slots, got the O-1 visa, and entered the U.S. From there they later applied for a green card — I don’t know how long after entry; when you have an O-1 it’s not something that’s super urgent.
