People say that if you get denied an EB-1A, your chances for any other U.S. visa become practically zero. How accurate is that? Or is it an exaggeration, and a denial in one category doesn’t affect the others?
Oh, that’s a massively overblown myth. I myself got an EB-1A denial on my first filing, then I reapplied with a competent lawyer and was approved without any problems. It didn’t affect tourist visas at all, nor other employment categories either — the main thing is to show exactly what changed in the case, not to submit the same petition under a different name. By the way, there’s a thread on the forum with a collection of real cases where people got through even after denials; read it if you’re interested.
