Can anyone who’s had a consulate interview tell me — does an overstay on your first visit cause major problems? I stayed longer than permitted back then; it was my very first stay. I understand it’s an issue, but how critical is it for the interview?
At the interview, don’t bring the topic up yourself. Everything’s logged in the system — they already see the history. If they ask directly, answer honestly, but don’t give unnecessary explanations in advance.
