How it went

Good afternoon, Im sharing my impressions of the interview in Warsaw. Overall the attitude was friendly, no negativity — the person checking documents was a very kind woman with good Russian; she asked standard questions: had I lived in another country? my mothers maiden name? and in which language I would do the interview? she said that I would probably be able to do it in English. I answered that Russian would be more comfortable. Then a one-and-a-half-hour wait for the conversation with the consul. During that time one person had an interview with that consul, and I got the impression that they study your case before the conversation, hence the long wait. I applied as a sports coach. I had a fairly positive American consul; he said he had reviewed my case, asked what my highest achievement was, whether I had lived in another country, and what successes I currently have at work. He wished me luck and handed me a sheet with information on how to collect my passport. All this took about 3 minutes. In general, if you have a clean past and a normal case, there should be no problems. The visa was affixed the next day.
