If you go to school in Italy at 14, does it make sense to choose the A-level program? I’ve heard that program is closer to the Russian one, so the adaptation should be easier. Has anyone made that choice for their child?
A-levels are well regarded by British and American universities, but if you’re planning to apply to an Italian one - they require their own maturità (the Italian high school-leaving exam), that’s a whole different story. I know there’s an online school in Milan that issues a Russian high school diploma (attestat) — they administer the Unified State Exam (EGE) there, and in recent years students abroad have been exempted from it. If the goal is just to get the diploma without the stress while the child learns the language, that’ll be easier.
