What could it mean if the status in CEAC changed from “refused” to “administrative processing”? The interview was in London; exactly 60 days later they requested updated résumés and letters from the company. I sent a follow-up, and the same day they asked for the bio pages of my passports (Belarus and the UK) — and the next day they asked whether I had used another name and the status changed. I’d like to think that administrative processing is a good sign — or should I not read anything into it?
I had the same transition — “refused” changed to “AP”. They asked me to bring in my passport even before the status change. A request for the biographical pages and a question about other names is a standard procedure during the check. They kept the passport for another week after the status change.

If they have passports, that status usually appears before the visa is affixed.
