EB-1: few publications and citations — is there a blacklist of journals that aren’t counted?

I’m applying for EB-1 and dealing with the publications criterion. Is there any official—or at least unofficial—list of blacklisted journals whose articles officers won’t accept? I’ve heard that for EB-1, having few publications with few citations is already tough, and if the journal is questionable it’s even worse. I’m wondering if there’s a real list or if it’s all at the discretion of the individual officer.

RFE just wrote to me about a weak journal. There’s no official list, but officers do check.

If the industry is niche, that’s a different story. In my field, “major trade publications” aren’t Forbes, and I even had to have a lawyer separately prove to the officer that there simply aren’t any such publications in our industry.
