I brought an excess of documents, including my employment record book, invitation letters to interviews in the USA, etc.; everything came in handy — they took everything at the first window
Spoke with the consul in English

- about the certificates. She took them out and asked to talk about each of them (including memberships in guilds)
- about marriage; didn’t ask much, but clarified
- asked about career plans. I showed printouts of letters from recruiters.

She asked my wife:
- what she does for work and what her role is
- asked that her education is in linguistics but she works as a designer. Clarified whether she had additional education or was self-taught
