The main thing to check is not ratings or reviews on the site, but concrete experience specifically with EB-1A. Ask how many such cases they’ve handled and what their approval rate is. Lawyers who take your money and then disappear are a real problem, so it’s important to discuss on the first call how often they’ll be in touch and who will actually be handling your case — the lawyer themself or an assistant. When I was looking for mine, I arranged to get a response within 48 hours to any question — that’s normal practice and you can ask for it outright.
