I wanted to check about the queue for EB-2 NIW — is it stalled right now too? Which priority years are current in the latest Visa Bulletin? Say I filed and my I-140 was approved with premium processing — how long would I realistically have to wait after that until I actually get the green card?
For EB2 NIW there’s currently about a 1.5‑year wait to file the I-485. It all started when premium processing for the I-140 appeared — the I-485 queues immediately went crazy; it was an unlucky coincidence. NIW has been and still is slower than EB1; there’s a chance the gap will be smaller in a year, but for now that’s how it is.
