Where to exchange dollars for euros in Milan

Hi everyone, can anyone tell me where in Milan I can exchange dollars for euros? I can’t find a decent exchange office.

About currency exchange and banks for Russians in Italy:

Wise and Revolut offer a good exchange rate and accept holders of a D visa. Cash deposits to the bank - up to 5000 EUR per transaction, explanation: personal savings.

Not great — exchanging dollars in Italy is a real pain. Banks don’t handle it at all, only currency exchange offices, and their rates are usually pretty bad. If you can exchange before you fly, do that, seriously.

Exchanging dollars once you’re in Italy is basically a last-resort option. There are few exchange offices, the rates are awful, and banks just don’t deal with cash foreign currency. If I were you, I’d sort everything out before the flight — it’s really tough here.

Anyway, if you’ve already arrived with dollars — look for exchange offices near the Duomo or Centrale, but the exchange rate there won’t be great, just so you know. For the future, it’s easiest to just withdraw euros from an ATM with your card if you have a decent card with reasonable conversion fees.

Yeah, basically everything’s already been said — I’ll just add: if you have a card like Revolut or Wise, forget about cash dollars altogether; converting inside the app is way better than any exchange office. And dealing with cash in Milan is really depressing — even near Centrale the rate is such that it would’ve been easier to exchange at the airport.

About cash dollars in general — in Europe that’s already archaic; everything here is geared toward cashless payments and euros. Some people use P2P crypto, but that’s a whole different hassle with risks, especially if the amounts are small — nobody’s going to go anywhere for just a couple thousand.
