Looking for advice on taxes and tax regimes — who can help?

I searched the forum but couldn’t find it. I remember someone earlier recommended a person for consultations on taxes and tax regimes. Maybe someone can reply or remind me?

I’ve got a similar question. I have a business in Russia that continues operating after I move — it’s unclear whether, if I’ve already paid taxes there, I’ll have to pay tax on it in Italy as well. My accountant charges a bit over two thousand euros a year — I’d like to find someone for a reasonable price and preferably Russian-speaking.

oh yeah, two grand is just insane, I only have a residence permit and no business, and I still don’t want to pay that kind of money. if you find someone decent, drop them here pls

There are actually a lot of nuances. For example, Russia’s simplified tax regime (the “simplified system” — УСН) and Italy’s forfettario are special tax regimes; they aren’t covered by the double tax treaty. So with a business in Russia you’d theoretically have to pay taxes in both places. That’s why it’s important to find a commercialista (Italian tax advisor) who understands both systems — a plain Italian accountant without knowledge of Russian realities won’t help here.

Yeah, with a business in Russia it’s really not the kind of situation where you can skimp on an accountant. The simplified tax system (упрощенка) and the forfettario (форфеттарио) basically don’t overlap in double-taxation treaties, so you need someone who’s savvy in both — and that’s rare. Two thousand a year for that kind of setup is a fair price, honestly; I’d look not at cheapness but at reviews from people who’ve had the same situation for a couple of years.
