I received the approval, but since the approval date there have been no updates at all on the case number. I can’t tell whether the embassy has forwarded the case to USCIS or not. Is this an administrative check, or did something get lost in transit? The embassy keeps passing me back and forth and isn’t responding.
When a case is sent back to USCIS, the system status doesn’t show it at all — we received the exact same letter saying the case was forwarded, but nothing changed online. We wrote to the embassy for clarification — they say this isn’t processing or some intermediate stage, but simply a continuation of the administrative review at a new instance. They don’t know when it will be finished.

The online status won’t update until the State Department closes its part — that’s their process, not yours.

It’s been 37 days since the visa was revoked. The online status hasn’t changed at all during that time — there are occasional views of the case, but they don’t really mean anything. I’ve read that at best you’ll see an updated date, and the status itself will only change when the passport is taken to have the visa sticker affixed. The main thing is not to miss the letter — everything else is just waiting.

There have been attempts — so the case has reached them. An update will only come when they take the passport.

That’s a normal gap between approval and the passport — there are occasional status updates, but they don’t really mean anything. For me, after approval the case date was updated a month later, then silence again until the letter about the visa sticker. The embassy won’t say anything new — they’ve already done their part, and the status in the system will change only when the passport is sent to have the visa sticker affixed.
