I received a letter from the consulate saying I need to provide a new medical exam for Form I-693, a new police certificate and photos — to send by mail. At the same time IOM says they will upload everything online themselves and won’t give me anything in hand. Has anyone encountered such a contradiction between the consulate’s instructions and IOM? What should I do — wait for IOM to upload it themselves, or send it by mail anyway?
IOM sent our medical documents directly to the consulate — they don’t hand anything to you, and that’s normal. But they asked that the police clearance certificate be sent by mail with a translation — that’s your responsibility, not IOM’s. Confirm with the consulate in writing specifically about the certificate so you won’t have to deal with extra questions at the interview.

we had the same in Warsaw — IOM uploaded the medical records themselves, they don’t give you anything to hand, and that’s how it should be. I had to send the police clearance certificate myself by mail; they requested it with a translation. Don’t drag your feet with it — getting it processed with a notarized translation took me about three weeks. You’ll get through it)

Listen, same story with the photo — IOM only accepts medicine, the rest is your responsibility. So it’s on you: the certificate with a translation and the photo — both sent by mail. It took me about two weeks to get the certificate translated, so don’t drag your feet.
