How it all went
Well, I’ll chime in as someone who got approval with Shamaev without an RFE. As already mentioned in the chat, a lot depends on the team of paralegals you get — I had great specialists (but I double-checked their reasoning through the chat). When we started work on the case, they sent me a video saying that over 6 months I’d spend roughly 200 hours of work — honestly, I kind of “slacked off” and didn’t believe it. As it turned out, that’s true — I wrote and rewrote a lot — at least three rounds of edits for every letter/description and so on — in half the cases I had to completely rewrite what I had written. So, if you expect to just pay up and have the attorney solve everything, that’s not Shamaev (although there seems to be such a service package — but then you lose control of your case) — if you’re ready to actually spend 200 hours over six months, then, in my humble opinion, it’s worth it. But again, if you have the time and are meticulous — study the knowledge base carefully, read the chat and attend the calls — you can realistically write everything yourself.
