I’m going to apply for a residence permit, I can’t figure out which documents I need to bring. Is a passport and the receipt (ricevuta) enough or do I need anything else?

ricevuta — that’s the ticket with a hologram proving the kit has been submitted; don’t confuse it with the fingerprinting summons. Passport + ricevuta are the bare minimum, but it’s better to also take Modulo 209 from the prefettura — it contains both the codice fiscale and the immigration agreement in a single letter. They wouldn’t let me in without it.
