Will USCIS accept your own book as an EB-1 criterion?

I have a published book and want to understand — which EB-1 criteria does USCIS credit it toward, does it count at all? If yes, how should I describe it properly in the petition — do I need data on the print run, reviews, press mentions? Or is the mere fact of publication enough?

A book counts toward the publications criterion, but a single publication is not enough. According to what USCIS says — the beneficiary must be a listed author, but need not be the sole or first author. At the same time, the petitioner need not provide evidence that the published work has been cited — in other words, proving that it was cited is not required. If the book relates to your professional activity, you can submit it as a continuation in the field of endeavor, include a couple of letters from people it helped to develop professionally or showing how it was used at work. And if the author has an established name, that in itself is an argument for the case. 🎓 Членство в ассоциациях (1): суть критерия, 4 элемента проверки и 12% одобрений
